I recently picked up a few raw food "cook" books from Amazon and I HIGHLY suggest you check out these books! It's very helpful in my opinion to master a few recipes so you can have some sort of base of foods you can work with and make rather easily. For example some standard foods I know I like to eat everyday are salads, almond milk , green smoothies (fruit and chocolate), raw chocolate fudge and green juices. Then as snacks I like to eat pieces of fruit, (be careful not to over do it), veggies like pieces of cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, celery nuts, seeds and superfoods like chocolate or cacao nibs, goji berries etc.

But on top of that I like to make things that I can learn in certain raw foods books. I like to have these snacks handy so when I get hungry they are there for me. These chocolate macaroons are one of them. I also like to make mint chocolate chip ice-cream with raw chocolate sauce. I also like to make breads, crackers and pates so I can make sandwiches or raw burgers with an avocado almond butter spread with sprouts. It's invaluable to have a few reference books around. My favorite three books are Raw: The Uncook Book: New Vegetarian Food for Life and Ani's Raw Food Kitchen: Easy, Delectable Living Foods Recipes
By the way these chocolate macaroons are amazing and take about 10 minutes to make! All you have to do is follow exactly the Recipes in Raw Food/Real World which is my favorite out of the 3 raw food cook books that I have.

What's Your Raw Food Goal?
Many times we are really hard on ourselves. I believe this starts in our childhood. We are conditioned from a very early age to compete with other children in many or all activities. We are constantly being compared with our siblings on everything from our behavior to our grades. This is the society we live in. And it is not all bad. It's good to compete and to fight for things. But many times we don't necessarily check things. By checking something I mean, is the idea itself worthy of belief or is it just something we believe without really thinking?
The reason I say this is because when we set a goal for something, if we don't achieve it in the time frame we have in our heads we've "failed." Or if along the way we "blow it" by eating something that isn't the best ever, we've "failed." This idea of placing judgements on food is what needs to be checked.
I've seen many people over the years get so down on themselves because they get into that game. What I believe we need to do is create an entirely different mindset. Here are a couple of points to that mindset that concerns eating raw food:
1. Be kind and gentle soft and allowing.
You must realize that diet is the hardest thing for people to change. Don't be so hard on yourself. It's a journey.
2. Focus on only the good things you eat each day, not the less than excellent foods.
If you eat 6 great things in a day, perhaps a green smoothie, a fresh organic vegetable juice, a green salad, some raw chocolate, super foods and maybe some herbal tea, but you also have a slice of pizza or two. Don't worry about it. Focus on all the unbelievable nutrition you DID have!
3. Keep the long term goal in mind.
If you are for example 35 years old and are just starting out, you must realize that your body has been used to being poisoned for 35 years and to change your diet to a 100% raw vegan plant based approach in 1 year might not happen.
4. Give yourself time to reach the goal.
Don't worry about being perfect. The goal is not 100% or this or that. It's being consistent. Consistency over perfection. I always advocate to eat what you want. If I tell myself I cannot eat pizza that's what I'll have. If I want to have pizza I will eat it. To put yourself into the denial game will not work.
So in the long term when you're looking at your diet program only compare yourself TO yourself. Don't compare yourself to anybody else. If you have gotten rid of milk and dairy products and added salad in once a day, that is amazing. Just keep doing that stay consistent, don't get down on other less than excellent foods you may have consumed. Be happy that you have the intention of consistency. Let that be your foundation and work from there.
Some quick tips if you do eat food that is less then excellent:
1. Have some supplements with it like Enzymes, Probiotics and Hydrochloric Acid.
2. Have a salad with your meal.
3. If you have meat, have some Cayenne pepper with it to help it digest or lemon on it or in your water to stimulate digestion and eat it before 2pm if possible.
4. Try to food combine as much as possible.
5. Don't drink too much water with your meals.
Be more kind to yourself, soft and allowing. This will help you to be more successful in your raw food journey. Remember, consistency over perfection...

Wheat Grass
So you want to drink wheatgrass but for some reason cannot stomach the taste? I know it can be very very difficult to drink massive amounts of wheatgrass. I mean juicing and drinking 1 ounce of wheat grass per day is something almost anybody can do but how do you drink 8, 10 or 16 ounces of wheatgrass? Well I discovered what "to me" is the best single discovery in helping me to be able to drink as much wheat grass as I want per day. You may not like it as much as I do but several people I have talked to love doing this as much as I do. So here's my trick to drinking massive amounts of wheat grass:
1. Double the amount of wheatgrass with good water. So say you have 4 ounces of wheat grass, put another 4 ounces of water in your glass.
2. Add 1 packet of stevia or if you have liquid stevia, put in 2-3 drops to taste.
3. Add 1 drop of peppermint oil.
And that's it. The stuff is sweet, cold and tastes great. You could drink 3 glasses of that per day (assuming it doesn't detox you too much) no problem at all.
Let me know if you try it and if you like it. Thanks for reading!

Listen To Your Body
It is my contention that one of the most valuable skills you can learn as somebody who is aspiring to eat more raw and living foods is the ability to listen closely to your body. The skill has really been lost in our culture of eating any type of cooked sugary food that they desire. Lost is the skill of really looking deep and trying to figure out if you really are hungry when the food cravings come along or if perhaps you are only thirsty. The ability to really tune in to your body and figuring out where your cravings come from either from a psychological, emotional or physiological level is extremely valuable. That is when we get back in touch with how we are supposed to be living.
As a raw foodist this takes time and years to develop. By eating a standard American diet the closest we come to listening to our bodies is subjecting ourselves to the cravings for sugar that come from the parasites that live within us. You see, most of us is not us, most of us are organisms that live inside us. We as the host are being shared by more organisms then cells within us. So it really is hard to not only lose the cravings (and the parasites that drive them) but then get on the path of listening to our bodies many cries for water, minerals, vitamins and nutrients.
Have a headache? Maybe your body is craving pure water? Have bloating or gas? Maybe your body is craving celery juice or a green smoothie to help create hydrochloric acid? But how would we know if all we did was pop some Advil if we have headache or ate only what we always felt like? This is all a part of being connected to the earth and to God. Animals will travel hundreds of miles in the wild just to be able to get at certain salts in the desert as well as magnesium.
As a creature of habit and pre-raw I used to eat the same foods EVERY single day. It really didn't matter because I was being dominated and controlled by my taste buds and the parasites and worms within me. For breakfast I used to eat a few bowls of cereal with toast, for lunch some sort of turkey sandwich with cookies or chips, and for dinner I'd have a hamburger or pizza or pasta with chicken. Our bodies really are meant to do things in rotation. If you eat kale every day your body over time isn't able to fully utilize all the nutrients. It's the same idea with lifting weights. You have to switch it up very often or your muscles "get used" to the workouts and you stop seeing the same type of dramatic results.
As I switched to raw I would stick to the same types of foods every day and at the same times. Green smoothie for breakfast with all the same ingredients, salads and chocolate super food smoothies around dinner etc. Now I try to listen to what my body really wants and try my hardest to eat different foods each day or at least switch the timing of them. I might have raw ice cream for breakfast and then an hour later have a green juice. Then a salad and a raw burger or raw sandwich or some soup. It's really easy to get into a rut. It takes time to start listening to what your body wants and not getting bogged down with the same 3-4 foods each day.
So what I do when I go to the grocery store is to buy at least 1 new vegetable, fruit, super food, nut or anything else that I have never tried before. This forces me to keep trying new foods. There are literally hundreds of types of avocados as well as edible greens but our supermarkets and stores only carry about 10-15 greens and maybe 2-3 types of avocados. It's crazy!
So I would challenge you to do your best to get rid of your sugar addictions and cravings so you can clean yourself out a little bit. You can even do some cleanses to help you in this way. Then try to switch your routine up a little bit and buy 1 new vegetable at the grocery store next time you go. Remember we don't need to have all the super foods every single day. It's better if you go on for a little while and then go off and then back on again.

Sugar Addiction
We all love sugar and sweet foods. We grew up on cupcakes and Twinkies and they taste great. And personally I must have inherited a very strong "sweet tooth". Until the past few years I was addicted to chocolate chip cookies and other really sweet foods. Now I couldn't even imagine eating them or having a snickers bar. The concentration of sugar would send me so far out of balance. One of the things I've really been trying to get a handle on is the level of sugar that is consumed on a daily basis. That includes carbohydrates like refined flowers etc. I've pretty much eliminated all refined carbohydrates, and now the only sugar I consume is fruit sugar and things like agave nectar and honey.
Cancer has 6 times the receptor sites on them for sugar than normal cells. Sugar is literally a "cancer magnet." And sugar can be linked to all kinds of other dis-eases. So I'm going to share with you some good sugar replacements that can raise the level of sweetness without disturbing or altering your blood sugar levels too dramatically.
TIP:
Try to extend as far out as possible these sugars in your smoothies or other recipes and add only a very very tiny amount of agave or honey to round out the taste and flavor.
So how would this look? Let's say you are making a fruit smoothie or a chocolate cacao smoothie. As your sweetener you could use a packet of stevia, a packet of xylitol and a half teaspoon of yacon root syrup. And if that still is not sugary enough or sweet enough, add a pinch of celtic or himalayan sea salt. That usually helps to bring out the flavor of sweetness. Then you could add just a little more of each one of the stevia or xylitol. And after that, if it's still not sweet enough, add just a pinch of agave or a half teaspoon of honey to help bring all the sweetness together. But try to rely mostly on the stevia, xylitol and yacon for sweetness and only as a last resort use the agave or honey as a treat. This little trick will help you keep it sweet without raising your blood sugar levels too dramatically.
FRUITS:
I would recommend staying far away from fruits that have no seeds. A lot of people recommend eating a no fruit no sugar diet. That might be good for a while to give your body a rest from sugar. But if you eat fruits you should aways eat the seeds of fruit (with the exception with maybe apples, although there is some debate as to whether or not the seeds of apples are actually dangerous for you). Seedless oranges, seedless grapes, seedless watermelons are particularly dangerous. Bananas and dates are really high in sugar as well. Bananas are 25% sugar! Great fruits are berries of all kinds. They are generally sweet, with low sugar and high minerals and high in antioxidants. Dried fruits are an even more concentrated sugar.
A NOTE ON WILD FOODS:Seedless modified fruits are really pathetic weaklings and not
natural and really don't provide the mineral content and vitamin content that we really need. If a fruit has to be coddled and taken care of every single day because any one of a host of molds or fungi could attack it in your garden, is this really something that is going to be healthy for you? So remember, something that can stand on it's own in your garden without being taken care of is a strong fruit or vegetable that his high in minerals and probably very healthy for you.
JUICES:
Try substituting celery for carrots as the base for your vegetable juices. Or maybe use only 1 carrot instead of 3-4 carrots per vegetable juice. Also if you use apples in there for taste, use granny smith green apples as they are the lowest apples in sugar.
RAW FOOD TIP:
Remember your addiction and lifestyle was something you were born with and something that you've been battling since you were just a little kid. Give yourself time to overcome these addictions. Be easy on yourself. Unless you are in a healing crisis and have a disease like cancer or diabetes. Then you have to be a little more cut throat about getting off of sugar.
We do not want to completely get rid of sugar in our diets. But we have gone so overboard in how we eat as a culture and completely abused this food that is has overtaken everything we eat. Our brain uses glucose to help it run and operate. So I believe we need to have sugar every once in a while as a treat but it's just gotten way out of hand and literally people eat it 3 times a day and even in their snacks and wonder why they come down with every cold and flu that goes around. We just not sensible when it comes to sugar that's all.
WHAT IS STEVIA?
Stevia is an herb that grows naturally in south america as a small shrub mainly in Brazil and Paraguay. Stevia is a part of the Chrysanthemum family. It is incredibly low on the glycemic index and in some cases sweater than sugar making it a great sugar replacement. Although if taken in too high of a dose it can leave a slightly bitter aftertaste. The glycosides contained in it's leaves are called steviaosides and make up about 10% of it's sweetness and some brands are 30 times sweater than sugar!. Stevia also contains zero calories. Stevia can come in powder or liquid extract form.
WHAT IS XYLITOL?
Xylitol is also a natural sweetener that can be found in plums, strawberries and raspberries. Most Xylitol is extracted from Birch bark and has about 40% less calories than sugar. Because Xylitol is granulated like sugar it serves as a great substitute for sugar in lots of recipes. There have been people even stating that Xylitol helps prevent tooth decay but I have not seen the evidence for this.
WHAT IS YACON ROOT SYRUP?
Yacon root syrup is mainly fructooligosaccharide which means it absorbs into your bloodstream very slowly. It comes mainly from Peru and south america and is pressed from the root.
WHAT IS AGAVE NECTAR?
Agave nectar comes from the inner part of the agave cactus plant that can be found in mexico. There are over 100 variates and blue agave is where the make tequila from. It is very sweet and tastes a bit like maple syrup and makes a great sweetener to smoothies and desserts and is very low on the glycemic index scale.

Green Smoothies
I would say the number one skill I have learned over the years is the art of perfecting the Green Smoothie. The idea in our diets is to gradually over time increase the amount of chlorophyll or greens we consume on a daily basis. It's actually pretty darn easy and a lot of fun to add more leafy greens into your daily diet.
My strategy has been 3 fold. Each day I try to:
So I'm essentially blending, juicing and eating greens. From time to time I'll have wheatgrass and green powders as well. Now the art of perfecting it will vary obviously for each person but for me I have dialed it in for myself.
I don't think I need to go on about the benefits of green foods or why they are good. I'd only be preaching to the choir here. :)
I'm hoping this guide will serve as a starting point for you to get good at making them yourself. I picked up these ideas from talking to various raw food chefs over the years and doing my own work at trying to perfect them for myself. It's one of my favorite ways to get the best vegetable nutrition out there!
So I'll share my strategy I use and if it works for you then great. If not, now worries! There's no right or wrong here. Here are the basic ingredients for my green smoothies
Putting it all together :and the Sunfood Triangle outlined there, it's good to have some raw fats with sugars to slow their absorption into your bloodstream. Basically so you don't get a sugar high. :) I like to use about a half of an
avocado. That seems to work for me. Plus the fats make it more filling and allow you to be able to go longer until your next meal.
Now this sounds like a lot but it's really quite easy and doesn't take that much time. I usually drink it on the way to work. So if you factor in the time that it might take you to make french toast AND sit and eat it, it's probably about the same amount of time.
Imagine the difference in your body and health doing this for breakfast for 20 years as opposed to eating bacon and eggs? So here's how I make my greens and superfoods smoothie:
- Pour the base into your blender and put your greens and superfoods into it. Blend all of that up really good.
- Put your soft fruit into the blender and your avocado and blend again.
- Then put your frozen berries into the blender (watch your green smoothie turn purple!) and blend for the last time.
- Your done! Pour it into your favorite cup and your out the door.
Some quick tips:
Here are a couple books I've enjoyed on the subject. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Raw Food Facts

A lot of times people ask us about our crazy raw food diets or why we eat rabbit food. They'll make fun of us for this or that, because we won't eat meat. Sometimes it's hard to respond. And a lot of times we will give very subjective responses to their objections or arguments. There is no question about the benefits of raw food. But we'll give responses like, we have more energy or need a lot less sleep or our digestion is much better than it was. But who can really quantify that? Maybe we can say how eating raw foods helped us to lose weight but those who disagree can say that ANY fad diet can do that. Right?
So I did some research and wanted to share some facts and raw food information that will help you have a couple good responses to people who have objections or just want to argue about what types of foods to eat.
Personally in my raw food experience I try to get out of that game altogether, 100% completely. If somebody wants to have a triple decker grilled hamburger with a tall glass of milk, that's cool. In fact if that's what they want I encourage it (for them that is). It is my contention that it's best if we get out of the judgement game completely and move more towards being positive. We don't know what's going on in that persons body do we? Heck maybe if that person is totally centered spritually, loves life, is not overweight, laughs a lot and really enjoys life, is more healthy than a raw food vegan who is depressed, down and extremely judgemental about food and life. All I know it's about more than food. But having said that, I know what kinds of food that I want to go into my temple, designed by God. I figure, why not be a person who is centered spiritually, loves life, is not overweight, laughs a lot, enjoys life AND eats raw organic food? How about them apples?
So anyway here are some things to think about the next time the subject comes up:
If our blood is biologically transmutating and changing this much, how healthy is the cell copy? I mean, if a cell reproduces itself, how healthy is the 2nd cell? What we must realize is that the food we put into our body doesn't BECOME our body. Namely it doesn't knit itself into us but acts more like the wind on a sail. It helps the sail to do its job. So if we eat cooked dead food, each copy of each cell is going to be worse and worse. Let's try to change that just a little bit by putting the freshest, most mineral rich raw vegan food into our temples.
By eating more of a raw food diet it will open up more doors to us, open our conscienceness and take us back to the house of health, which is where we want to be and where we strayed from in the first place. I believe all things are possible and we can get back to the house of health one meal at a time. How about you?

Juicer Comparisons

It's not easy buying a juicer these days. There are so many to choose from. I
know I had a hard time buying one. I hope this guide will help you figure out
exactly which one will best suit your needs. I'm not going to be going into exactly
which model to choose as I am trying to guide you in figuring out what type to
get. I get that question a lot. When I bought one I went online and read all the
reviews and tried my hardest to make sure that I bought the right one. And after
about 2 years of having mine, I can honestly say that it was worth every penny.
I bought a great juicer. The one I bought was Breville
800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite 1000-Watt juicer. There are some reservations I have with it though. But I'll get into that more later.
So before you buy a juicer you should ask yourself the following questions:
There are 5 basic types of juicers out there. They are:
(a spinning blade shreds the produce)
(it has one gear and crushes the produce as it rotates)
(they have a rotating head that spins when you put half an orange on top of it)
(two gears interlock tongue and groove as it crushes the juice)
(Norwalk Juicers)
(In a Vitamix you can blend whole fruits and veggies and strain thru a nut milk bag.)
| Centrifugal Juicers | Masticating Juicers |
| Citrus Juicers | Twin Gear Juicers |
Centrifugal Juicers
By far these are the most popular. This is the kind I have and it's the kind
you've seen on TV for years with The Juiceman and now with Jack Lalanne. They
are the easiest to clean with the least amount of parts. I can make a juice
of 8-10 different vegetables in about 15 minutes, including cleanup and washing
the veggies. Another good thing about mine and something you want to consider
is the feed chute. Mine is quite large so I can put whole apples in it. No cutting!
The downside of this is that is a bit noisy, it doesn't juice leafy greens very
well (the #1 thing I am after!) and it produces low level juice. That means
that it is quite foamy and it oxidized rapidly. Generally this happens in about
30 minutes to an hour. So you generally can't juice enough for two days. You
must drink it right away.
Masticating Juicers
These types of juicers are a bit less noisy but most of them generally have
a smaller feed chute. That means you have to cut your veggies up and it takes
more time. But the juice it does provide is a little better quality. The other
great thing about them is that they are less noisy. They generally have about
as many parts to clean as the centrifugal juicers. These are much better for
juicing leafy greens as well.
Citrus Juicers
Citrus Juicers are generally good in my opinion if you need the juice from a
lemon or lime. When you juice an orange for example you want to be able to extract
the juice from the fiber and break the cell walls of the molecules. These types
of juicers do not do that. When you juice an orange with one of these it produces
more of a sugar water and it's much less nutrative. I wouldn't suggest one of
these unless you want to use it for lemons or limes.
Twin Gear Juicers
These might just be the best "type" of juicer to buy. Although there
are two things I do not like about them. The first is how many parts you have
to clean. There are many! The second thing I do not like about them is the feet
chute. It is quite small so you have to really cut your veggies into small pieces
and it takes time! But the advantages of having one of these is great. They
don't make much noice for one. Also they can juice wheatgrass, they can make
nut pattes or nut butters and even ice-creams. They really are amazing machines.
A wheatgrass juicer can be as much as $900 dollars! So for the two things that
are not good about this, I think the twin gear juicers are the way to go. Plus
and this is the best part of it all they produce the 2nd best juice quality
behind the press juicer with minimal to no oxidation. This means it's much healthier
for you and the juice will last much longer!
Press Juicers
This type of juicer is usually out of the price range of most people going for
a couple thousand dollars. It works by essentially crushing or pressing the
juice and that means NO OXIDATION at all and the healthiest best quality juice
available.
Blending Veggies
This method is quite a favorable one for many people. Please see the video
above. Alot of people end up buying a Vita-Mix
blender and a simple nut milk bag and you can not only make smoothies with this but juices also. You essentially blend everything up and then pour it thru a nut milk bag to strain it. Using this method might be the quickest and cleanest of all methods and it produces high quality juice as well. Not as good as a press juicer as there is a low level oxidation from the heat of the blades of the Vita-Mix.
My Opinion
If I were buying a juicer today I would probably just get a Vita-Mix and a nut milk bag. But if I were intent on getting an actual juicer I would probably end up buying the Green Star Juicer. It's worth it to me to have the ability to juice wheatgrass, make patte's, nut butters and ice-cream plus have the best quality of juice.

Starting A Raw Food Diet
What are your goals?
So many times I get the question, "so how do I go about doing this sort of thing?" or "how do I start out eating a raw food diet?" Just today I got to talking to somebody in the gym about that. I think the first question to consider are what are your goals? What do you want to accomplish? Do you want to just be more healthy or do you want to live until you're 120? Do you just want to overcome candida or do you want to simply lose a few pounds? For me I'm in it not only to NOT get cancer and heart disease but to radically become something totally and 100% different than what other people are. I want to somehow (by daily disciplines over time) become the best that I can be. Some people call it their archatypical form or in a christian sense an imitation of christ. So first start out by figuring out what your goals are.
How raw do you want to be, and how fast do you want to get there?
Have you figured out your goals for why you want to eat this way? okay, good. Now that you have that figured out, now you can determine how quickly you want to become, however much raw you want to become. For some people 50, 60 or 80 percent is where they want to be and that's great. For some people it's in their destiny to become 100%. Personally I want and am 100% raw and it took me about 5 years go get there. For some people they do it overnight and that works for them. For me the best thing I ever did was to be gentle on myself and give myself time. Think about it, say you're 30 years old and are just starting out. You're trying to change 30 years of toxins, poisins and bad habits in a matter of days, weeks or months? The faster you make that change the more detox symptoms you will experience but the greater the immediate highs also. So now that you have that determined let's move on...
Strategy
There are 3 very important things to always remember:
- Be kind and gentle, soft and allowing on yourself, ALWAYS!
- Always add foods in, never take away
- Remember you have a lifetime to get better and better at it. This is a lifestyle
So the foods you want more of are obviously fruits, nuts, seeds, vegetables, seaweeds, superfoods and herbs. Now you have to determine how you're going to incorporate them into your daily routine. Don't worry about the pizza you had for dinner or whatever else. Here are some disciplines you might want to consider:
- Have a salad a day
- Have a smoothie a day
- Have some fruit everyday
- Have a liter of water a day
- Have a green juice a day
- Have an herbal tea a day
- Have a superfood chocolate smoothie a day
- Have some enzyme suppliments with each meal a day
Pick any one of these little things and make it a daily habit and work from there and DO NOT worry or beat yourself up about the other stuff you are eating. So many people think that if they have pizza for dinner it somehow cancels out the salad their having with it. This should be fun not about deprivation. Plus studies have shown that when we eat cooked food we get an immune system reaction from it. But if we have alkaline vegetable salad with the meal then it cancels out the white blood cell immune system response from the cooked food we are eating. So ADD ADD ADD.
How fast did I make the transition to raw foods?
Personally I read Fit for Life
One day you'll start adding in so many good things in your diet that it crowds out the bad. Personally if I want to have pizza one day I will. But as time goes on and on, I don't even crave it any more. The more you put restrictions on yourself the less fun you'll have and the higher the chances are that you will not stick with it.
The technique I uses is, if I want something bad say, a veggie burger or something. What I'll do is before we go to the restaurant I'll make a super filling chocolate smoothie. I'll be sucking down the final gulp as we walk out the door. What happens is, that I'm so full at that point I just end up getting a salad and I'm done.
So there are some tips I've learned and experience about going from SAD to raw. It's a journey and it opens things up inside you you never thought were there and it's so much fun.
If any of these tips helped you out, just let me know!

Raw Food, Weight Gain

I know many people are interested in getting into eating a raw plant food based diet for the purposes of losing weight. Unfortunately, or some might say fortunately for me, I've always been underweight. I can't seem to ever put on weight no matter what I do. Now I am not sure what my body type is but I've always been slender. I'm about 6 feet tall and 170 pounds now. the most I ever was able to get to was about 175.
Working out
I have always been a pretty active and athletic person. Right after high school (when they stopped forcing me in gym class) I started working out about 3-5 days a week and have been doing so since. I believe we were not meant to be living such sendantary lives but because we have to (in our modern lifestyles) we have to do some things that compensate for that.
My routine
My metabolism has always been sky high so I have always had trouble gaining weight. Then when I started eating raw foods I was really worried about dropping down to 140 pounds! I think alot of guys feel this way.
Some keys to not losing too much weight
For me I actually got stronger but lighter. I lost a few pounds, fortunately not too many but got stronger than I had ever been in my whole life. If you do it right you'll lose your dead weight but not your muscle.
After doing a lot of reading on the subject and listening to many seminars I've come up with a list of some high protein foods that will help you to not only not lose with but will help you put on some raw muscle! :)
Some foods that will help you to gain weight while eating raw.
So check these foods out and if you like all of them, then try them all if you like only some then see which ones agree with you. But this should help you get started in trying to get that muscle back on and get stronger while eating raw!
